Tracking Application Progress

Staying on top of your applications is key to a successful job search.

Updating Status

From Kanban

Drag the application card to a new column.

From List View

  1. Click the status badge
  2. Select the new status from the dropdown

From Application Detail

  1. Open the application
  2. Click the status dropdown
  3. Select the new stage

Activity Timeline

Each application has an activity log showing:

  • Status changes with timestamps
  • Notes you've added
  • Upcoming reminders
  • Interview schedules

View the timeline in the application detail panel.

Adding Notes

Keep track of important details:

  1. Open the application
  2. Scroll to Notes section
  3. Click Add Note
  4. Enter your note (supports markdown)
  5. Click Save

What to Note

  • Recruiter names and contact info
  • Interview dates and times
  • Feedback received
  • Questions to ask
  • Salary discussions

Setting Reminders

Stay on top of follow-ups:

  1. Open the application
  2. Click Add Reminder
  3. Set the date and time
  4. Add a message (e.g., "Follow up on interview")
  5. You'll receive a notification when it's due

Common Reminders

  • Follow up 1 week after applying
  • Prepare for interview 1 day before
  • Send thank you note after interview
  • Check in if no response in 2 weeks

Interview Tracking

When you have interviews scheduled:

  1. Add the interview date to the application
  2. The card will show an interview indicator
  3. You'll see it in your upcoming events
  4. Add notes after each interview round

Archiving Applications

When an application is complete:

  1. Move to Closed status (rejected) or Offer (accepted)
  2. Optionally click Archive to hide from main view
  3. Access archived apps via FiltersShow Archived

Tips

  • Update immediately - Log changes right after they happen
  • Be detailed - Future you will thank present you
  • Use reminders - Don't rely on memory
  • Review weekly - Look for stale applications that need follow-up
